Privacy Policy
1. Overview & scope
BeanSprout AI (“BeanSprout AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an agentic-AI operations firm. We advise on, build, operate, and assure AI for our clients, and we have software products in development. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website at https://www.beansprout.ai and the inquiries you send us.
This policy covers information we collect through our public website and when you contact us. It does not govern the personal information we process on behalf of our clients when we deliver services. That work is governed by the separate written agreements we enter into with each client, where the client is typically the controller of the data and BeanSprout AI acts as a service provider or processor under their instructions.
Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our website or submit information to us.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
When you reach out through our contact form or by email, we collect the information you choose to give us. This typically includes:
- Your name;
- Your company or organization;
- Your email address; and
- The message and any details you include about what you are trying to do.
You decide what to send us. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message unless it is necessary.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically by our servers and the tools we use, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and other usage and log data such as the dates and times of your visits.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate the site and understand how it is used. See Section 4 for details and your choices.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your request;
- Provide, maintain, and improve our website and our services;
- Protect security and prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements; and
- Send you communications you have opted into, where applicable, and which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We use two broad categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential technologies that are necessary for the website to function, to remember your preferences, and to keep the site secure. These cannot be turned off through our site.
- Analytics technologies that help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you refuse new cookies, delete existing ones, or alert you when a cookie is set. You may also be able to opt out of analytics through any cookie controls we make available on the site. Disabling some cookies may affect how the website works for you.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers and processors that perform functions on our behalf — for example hosting, email delivery, security, and analytics. They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us, under contract.
- For legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or legal process, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BeanSprout AI, our clients, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the use of certain analytics and advertising technologies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information even where no money changes hands. If you would like to opt out of any such sharing, email us at hello@beansprout.ai with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” and we will honor your request.
6. Your privacy rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to certain exceptions:
- The right to know and access the personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it;
- The right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- The right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information;
- The right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@beansprout.ai. We will verify your request before acting on it and will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
7. Your privacy rights — EU/UK (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws:
- The right of access to your personal data;
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- The right to erasure (“the right to be forgotten”);
- The right to restriction of processing;
- The right to data portability;
- The right to object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests; and
- The right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
We rely on the following lawful bases to process personal data: your consent (for example, optional communications and non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests (such as responding to your inquiries, securing and improving the site, and running our business); and compliance with a legal obligation. To exercise your rights, email us at hello@beansprout.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Automated decision-making & AI
Our website does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or that similarly significantly affects you. We do not make decisions about visitors solely by automated means.
The AI systems we design, build, and operate as part of client engagements are governed by the separate agreements with those clients, are operated with human oversight, and are outside the scope of this website Privacy Policy.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — such as responding to and following up on your inquiry, operating and improving the site, and meeting our legal, accounting, and security obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
10. Data security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure that transfers of personal data are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, before the data leaves your region.
12. Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@beansprout.ai and we will take steps to delete it.
13. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
